TRAVEL INFO
In general, the club does not require the parents to stay in a certain hotel or arrive at a set time. Players are encouraged to get eight hours sleep before tournaments and arrive at events with plenty of time to get prepared to play. We do compete in tournaments that have STAY AND PLAY requirements and these tournaments require that teams stay in hotels chosen by the tournament. This year those tournaments are Las Vegas Class (18Mizuno, 18Runbird, 17Mizuno, 16Mizuno), SoCal Qualifier in Las Vegas (17Mizuno, 16Mizuno), Junior Nationals in Dallas need to qualify (18Mizuno), Junior Nationals in Minneapolis need to qualify (16Mizuno). AAU National Championships in Orlando (15Mizuno, 17Mizuno) are not Stay and Play.
CALIFORNIA KICKOFF (MLK Weekend)
This tournament is a TWO day event with teams competing Sat/Sun or Sun/Mon. We have blocked Hotel Rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cupertino. This hotel is convenient to all the playing sites.
Here is a link to the SSVC Travel page and the hotel link is at the bottom of the Cal kickoff Section.
We have also blocked rooms for Presidents Day at the same hotel.
For the Las Vegas Classic and the So Cal Qualifier along with Junior Nationals, Club Director Sonny Perez will handle the hotel arrangements with the Stay and Play travel agent.
If you have any questions about travel and club rules regarding behavior while at events please check with your coaches or Sonny.
Holiday Camp for Mizuno teams is scheduled for December 27-29 from 6pm-9pm at the Carson Facility. Mizuno players need to let their head coaches know if they will be attending. Specific position times are to be determined.
December 30th is the Holiday 4s Tournament in Carson for Silver State players, coaches, families and alumni. Come with a team or we will create a team for you at the event. The cost is $5 per person and Silver State alumnae are free.
