Good day and welcome to the August edition of the SSVC newsletter.
We are happy to announce the creation of the Silver State Volleyblog edited by former SSVC and Oregon State standout player Darby Reeder. The blog is designed to provide news and information in a one stop shopping format. We will also have articles written by current and former coaches, players, and parents along with local professionals that are part of our “Friends of Silver State VBC” program.

Silver State Beach World Championships
Open to all juniors doubles teams on Aug 4th 6pm-9pm. The cost is $20 per athlete. Please Pre-Register by Aug 3rd by emailing Tall Tony at Tonyball50@yahoo.com with names and ages of athletes, but walk-ins will be accepted. Prizes will be awarded!
Congratulations to SSVC and Grand Canyon University alumna Shannon Dugan. Dugan is a two time AVCA Collegiate Beach All-American has signed to play professional indoor volleyball in the country of Cypress. Shannon played four years at SSVC in addition to being part of the 2010 Douglas Tiger State Championship team coached by Suzi Townsell.

Nevada finished last year with their best record since becoming part of the Mountain West and will try and continue the upward momentum under second year head coach Lee Nelson. There are four members of the coaching staff that are also part of the SSVC staff (Megan Burton, Tyson Norton, Vish Djurdjevic, and Jordan Reeder). The Pack also features former SSVC Players Madison Foley (2007-2014), Lyndsey Anderson (2007 – 2010) and Gabby Szachara (2008 – 2010).
